(1920 - 1991) Howard Nemerov is the author of numerous poetry collections including, The Collected Poems of Howard Nemerov (1977), which won the Pulitzer Prize, the National Book Award, and the Bollingen Prize.  For his poetry, Nemerove also received fellowships from The Academy of American Poets and The Guggenheim Foundation, a National Endowment for the Arts grant, the National Medal of Arts, and the Aiken Taylor Award for Modern American Poetry.  He held numerous university posts, the last of which at Washington University in St.
