Maggie Queeney Awarded 2019 Kunitz Prize
The American Poetry Review is happy to announce that Maggie Queeney has been awarded the 2019 Stanley Kunitz Memorial Prize for her poem "Glamour." We thank all the poets who submitted work; we were honored to read so many excellent poems. "Glamour" will be featured in the September/October 2019 issue. 

 

Maggie Queeney is the author of settler, selected by Shane McCrae in the 2017 Baltic Writing Residency Poetry Chapbook Contest. Her recent work can be found or is forthcoming in The North American Review, The Southwest Review, Fugue, The Fairy Tale Review, and Nashville Review, among others.   
 

The Stanley Kunitz Memorial Prize awards $1,000 and publication of the winning poem to a poet under 40 years of age in honor of the late Stanley Kunitz's dedication to mentoring poets.
